The Magic Space project is a unique interpretation of what an office should be. Su Yanzhuang, the design director, envisioned a space that was not only functional but also fashionable, free, and youthful. The result is an office that breaks away from traditional forms, offering a visually impactful environment that is both strong and stylish.
The design's most striking feature is its use of black and white, which forms the primary visual element. This monochromatic scheme, coupled with a gray tone, creates a mysterious and expansive sense of leisure. The interplay of light and shadow further enhances this effect, adding depth and intrigue to the space.
One of the key aspects of Magic Space is its flexibility. The office reception area and the book bar leisure area are seamlessly connected, a design choice that reflects the designer's desire for freedom. This fluid layout encourages movement and interaction, promoting a more collaborative and dynamic work environment.
Located in Foshan, Guangdong Province, China, the project was completed with the help of a dedicated team, including photographer OuYang Yun from Image Building Photography. The team's collective effort has resulted in a design that not only meets the practical needs of an office but also caters to the aesthetic sensibilities of the modern workforce.
The Magic Space project has been recognized for its innovative approach to office design, winning the Silver A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2019. This prestigious award is given to designs that demonstrate outstanding expertise and innovation, and Magic Space certainly fits the bill. With its unique blend of fashion and function, it sets a new standard for office design, proving that workspaces can be as stylish as they are practical.
